Born in Akron, Ohio. Michael always had an affinity for the arts. He discovered glass as an artistic medium in 2012 and began pursuing a degree in glass. In 2015 Michael was selected as one of seven apprentices to help construct a mobile glass blowing studio at Keystone College in La Plume, Pennsylvania. In 2017 he earned his B.F.A. in Crafts with a concentration in glass from Kent State University. In the summer of 2017, Michael was selected as Salem Art Works Emerging Artist in Glass. Here, he spent six months creating work and exploring new means of making in upstate New York. After completing his residency he moved back to Ohio and worked as a lead gaffer at The Glass Asylum in Chagrin Falls. In the winter of 2018 Michael was asked to return to Salem Art Works, this time as the Director of Glass. He currently resides and continues to make his work in Salem, New York.
